Robin Jongeneel, Co-Founder

Robin is a self-taught software engineer with a deep passion for problem-solving, system-building, and creating impactful software. With a natural intuition for programming, he finds satisfaction in developing solutions that solve real-world challenges practitioners actually face.

Alongside Afterglow, Robin specialises in tailor-made software that removes mindless, repetitive tasks so people can focus on the creative, value-adding work only they can do. His interests in Depth Psychology and personal development led him to co-found Afterglow, with the goal of building infrastructure that lets coaches and therapists do their best work, between sessions and within them.

Robin's approach is rooted in long-term relationships and a commitment to creating meaningful, lasting change through technology.

Why we're building this

The 167 hours we kept losing

We started Afterglow because the most important hour of our week was the one we couldn't see. The session was clear. The week that followed was a black box. Clients arrived next week and we spent the first fifteen minutes asking "so, how was it?" instead of doing the work.

Every wellness app we tried served clients around us, not through us. Every practice-management tool ran our admin without touching engagement. We wanted something that respected the relationship: clients consent first, practitioners see only what was given, and the platform reduces the work rather than adding to it.

We are explicit about what we are not. We are not a self-help app. We are not a replacement for the session. We are not pretending to be FDA-cleared. We are a practice platform for the practitioner who already does good work and wants the infrastructure to match.
